Changes to 2012/2013 Tryout & Team Information
Green Country Soccer Association has approved a NEW tryout format for this upcoming season. For detailed information you can see the ruling on our try out page. A couple of the big differences between Highlanders Soccer Club and other local clubs:
1) You will know immediately who your coach is, what age group you will be in, and who your team mates are. Some of the other clubs will sign you to the club, not to an individual team. They are not required to tell you which team you are on, which coach you are under, or who your team mates will be until mid July when rosters are due to GCSA. Even when you are on a team one year, it doesn't guarantee you a spot on that team the next.
2) No "pre-registration" is required. Some clubs will require you to 'pre-register' just to participate in a try out. You are free to contact any coach or the President of Highlanders Soccer Club for details regarding our clubs process of tryouts or the signing of players.

Way to go Highlanders!!!
97 Highlanders Boys
The 97 Boys had a great season that saw us having many firsts. In the fall we were finalists in two tournaments and won our first ever tournament, The Blitz Invitational, in the Silver bracket. The boys played with heart and passion in muddy conditions to earn a spot in the Championship game. In the final we dominated play in the second half and scored two goals to win 2-0.
The spring of 2010 was also a great success. While we played many top teams in the region in two tournaments, we got better with each game. The tough competition really paid off in our league play where we went undefeated with an 11-0-1 season!
As a team we scored 46 goals and allowed only 3! This effort carried over for us in the Oklahoma Presidents Cup where we advanced to the Semi-Finals against the eventual champion from Oklahoma City and only lost 2-1 with many opportunities to tie and even win.
It was a great year for the 97's and we look forward to continuing our success in the seasons to come. The boys have come a long way and have worked hard to become one of the best teams in our area.
01 Boys Championship Win in the WSA Tournament
April 2010
The 2001 Highlander Boys took the Championship in the 2010 WSA Cup U9 Boys Gold Division. The tournament dates were April 16-18. The weather was terrible! The fields complete mud as the photo reflects. The boys defeated three other teams to get to the final match between them and Blitz 01 White. Our boys pulled off a 2-1 victory, with Pearson Bash, scoring the winning goal in stoppage time! This game was exciting.
98 Boys Blue Team 1st Place
October 2009
The Bixby Highlanders 98 Boys Blue team recently celebrated winning first place in the silver bracket at the 2009 Blitz United Under Armour Fall Invitational tournament in October. The boys fought hard through many nail-biting moments during the two day tournament to come home with the first place trophy.
